Flynn's Classification Of Computer:
Single Instruction And Single Data Streams (SISD):
Flynn's Classification is based on multiplicity of Instruction Streams and Data Streams observed by the CPU during program execution.
Let Is and Ds our minimum number of train flooring at any point in the execution, the Computer Organisation can be categorised as follows: 1) Single Instruction and Single Data Streams (SISD):In this organization, sequential execution of instruction is performed by one CPU containing a Single Processing Element(PE), i.e, ALU under one Control Unit.
"Therefore, SISD machine are conventional series computers that process only one stream of instruction and one stream of data ".Example:
- CDC 6600
- CDC 7600
- Amdhal 470/6
- cray-1
